The Balancing Act Earrings

We're thrilled to announce our involvement in WE ARE LUXURY, a special exhibition dedicated to showcasing the best of Melbourne's design scene.

Melbourne was this year chosen as the feature city for Hong Kong's Business of Design Week, which runs from December 1-9, 2018. The WE ARE LUXURY exhibition is an initiative supported by Creative Victoria, where a select group of artisans whom exemplify the best in Victorian design were invited to present their work.

When asked to design a statement piece of jewellery that highlighted the best in Australian materials, Melanie designed her incredible 'Balancing Act' earrings.
Handcrafted in our Melbourne studio from 18ct yellow gold, they feature 40 carats of unique, rainbow-hued Australian opals, which Melanie sourced on one of her Australian gem hunting trips. Purchased direct from the miner, these lustrous gems are known to have come from Keeroongooloo Station in Eromanga, Quilpie Shire in Queensland.

A special thank you to Virginia Dowzer for curating this showcase of Victorian designers.
